Pine Tree ISD Education Foundation Student Grant Application 2023-2024
Please read carefully to fully understand guidelines and expectations. The number of grants and the amount of the grants awarded will depend upon available funds. Application does not guarantee assistance. Grants may be awarded to cover the cost or partial cost.

Student grants are designed to provide funds to attain academic success and to achieve success for the future.
Grants of up to $2,000 for an individual Pine Tree ISD student may be awarded per year.
Not all applications will be awarded. Grants may be partially funded.

Academics: Grants may be awarded to fund projects, supplies or costs that supplement and align with academics. Projects may include but are not limited to, the following:
  • School projects or school supplies
  • College testing costs
  • Application costs
  • Educational opportunities to enhance instruction in math, science, history, language arts, fine arts and career development
  • Special programs for students
Dual Credit: Grants may be awarded to cover the cost or partial cost of dual credit tuition

Certification and Equipment: Grants may be awarded to provide funds for certification and equipment to support student achievement. Certification and equipment may include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Books, kits or additional needs for dual credit or industry certification programs
Character Building: Grants may be awarded to provide funds for character building projects or activities to support student character and student achievement. Projects may include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Academic camps, training or other learning opportunities
  • Fine arts or athletics camps, trainings or other learning opportunities
Technology: Grants may be awarded to provide funds to enhance existing technology and for acquiring new technology to support student achievement. Technology may include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Equipment, supplies and software to improve student performance
  • Additional hardware
  • Adopting and/or expanding existing technology to increase student learning

Student Grant Guidelines
Notification of Recipients:
  • Applicants will be notified approximately 60 days from submission of the application
Date for Awarding Funds:
  • The awarded grant money that is allocated will be paid directly to the entity
  • Any unexpended funds will revert to the foundation
Applicant Eligibility:  
  • Grant funds are limited to Pine Tree ISD students
  • Grant funds will only be awarded that directly benefit student achievement
  • In the event that you leave Pine Tree ISD, your grant may not be funded
  • No funds will be distributed until invoice is received, the education foundation will only pay up to the amount awarded
  • If cost changes, it is the applicant's responsibility to notify the education foundation and complete an amendment of changes
Project Eligibility:
  • Recipients must adhere to all guidelines
  • There is not a guarantee that a grant that requires an annual subscription will be renewed
Application Review Process:  
  • Application shall be competitively reviewed by a designated foundation committee
  • Projects will be judged based on their potential to positively impact student achievement
  • Applicants may be interviewed by committee member/s about the grant application
  • Grants that were not awarded may be submitted again
Application Requirements:
To be considered for funding:
  • All sections must be complete
  • Teacher, counselor or administrator recommendation form must be submitted with application
  • Consent form signed by parent or guardian and submitted
  • Entity contact information must be complete on application, including name, mailing address, website and payment deadline. Other information about the entity may be requested before payment.
