The ongoing worldwide health crisis has shaken our global community at UMD, but we forge ahead by staying home, staying connected and staying global. The Offices of International Affairs, Education Abroad, International Student & Scholar Services and China Affairs are looking to foster cross-cultural exchange in this time of social distancing.

Read on for more details and opportunities to engage with us below! Here are some prompts to get your gears turning:

-- Share ideas for cultural activities you can enjoy at home during quarantine, or share something that you are doing (i.e. exploring museums virtually or watching theater performances online).
-- Share a recipe, music or other cultural element, either from your travels or your own cultural background.
-- How has this COVID-19 quarantine impacted you and what are creative ways you’ve dealt with challenges?
-- How has this experience influenced your ideas about your role and what is needed to resolve global issues your generation will face as leaders and decision makers?
-- What are you doing in your own communities to support COVID-19 response efforts?
-- Have you heard others' stories and would you be willing to reach out to them to see if they would share?
