ORMTA OTTAWA REGION BRANCH & SCHOOL OF MUSIC UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA
presents PIANO MASTER CLASS with FRÉDÉRIC LACROIX
Sunday, February 5, 2023, 1:00-4:00PM (deadline Jan.8, 2023)

Guidelines for acceptance:

1. Performers must be in Level 9, 10 or at the ARCT level.


2. Performers must have received a First Class Honours standing or higher in their last piano exam.


3. Only one complete selection can be played, memorized, with a maximum duration of 8 minutes.

4. Candidates will be assessed based on their past achievements, age, grade and selection. Preference would be given to repertoire pieces. Concert etudes are allowed.

5. Chosen candidates and/or their teachers will be notified within 5 days after the deadline.

6. Please bring original music for the master class with Professor Lacroix. Students are asked to dress appropriately (no jeans, boots or hoodies).

Performers, guests and teachers are expected to remain until the end of the master class, thus providing attentive audience for the other performers. Admission is free. Donations are welcome, with proceeds going towards ORMTA student scholarships. Chosen candidates must abide by the Covid-19 protocols required by the University of Ottawa, as well as all Ontario Government and Ottawa Public Health protocols that may be in place at the time of the master class.
