Arizona Matsuri 2021-2022 Exhibitors Application
Dear Arizona Matsuri Friend,

The Arizona Matsuri (AZM) Steering Committee would like to invite you to be a part of the 2022 Arizona Matsuri. This year's theme is Kintsugi (The Art of Repair). While Kintsugi typically is reflected as an art form in Japanese pottery and ceramics, the Steering Committee thought this theme and the philosophy behind it would be a perfect idea to focus on for this year, following the continued COVID-19 global pandemic.  The philosophy of Kintsugi is not only to repair what is broken, but to elevate the broken item to something even more beautiful than what it was in the first place.  The Steering Committee hopes that this theme can serve as in inspiration in these difficult times.

Arizona Matsuri will be returning to an in-person, outdoor event at our previous location of Indian School Park, The Circle of Life in Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85012, on the weekend of February 26th and 27th, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. While we are excited to return to an in-person event, please keep all CDC guidelines in mind, such as wearing masks and keeping a 6-foot distance from others as much as possible.

If you are a legacy exhibitor, as in you’ve participated in Arizona Matsuri before, please submit your application and include this year’s $25 dollar fee. If you are new to participating in Arizona Matsuri, please submit your application and wait for approval. Once you have been approved, you can then pay your $25 dollar fee. The Exhibitor area is for non-profits and cultural exhibits. This entails giving the public information and resources on Japan and Japanese culture or showcasing art and cultural artifacts. Please also understand that in accordance with the rules that the Steering Committee has put forth, your exhibition MUST relate DIRECTLY to Japan and Japanese culture.  Arizona Matsuri is a Japan-specific festival. Finally, Arizona Matsuri is a friends and family event.  We ask that all authentic Japanese content fit our target audience. We will not advertise any content that is not approved by our team. Let’s have some good, clean fun!

Please fill out the application below by December 31st, 2021.

We look forward to sharing in your valued contribution to the festival. Your contribution helps to make Arizona Matsuri a success. We hope you will join us this year.
