Family Nights! Let's Go Virtual!  Although we cannot gather on campus in large groups, we will be planning grade level virtual family nights and would love your help in the planning!  Please join Chair, Nancy Cleaveland with the planning!
Book Fair (March 5 & 6, 2021)  Join us in the preparation of our annual Book Fair!  There are opportunities to help create our space, organize the books once they arrive, and working the two days of the fair!  Join Chairs, Heather Berkley, Barbara Groves, and Zina Midani to help with this one of a kind event!
60th Anniversary Gala (March 28, 2021)  We are looking forward to being able to gather in late March to celebrate the school's 60th anniversary!  There will many committees of which you may be a part: decorations, menu planning, and more!  Join Chairs, Darsi Edwards and Holly Kobrin for this chance to be together as a JCDS family.
Vision Screening (TBA)  Annually we provide vision screenings through Vision is Priceless.  The tentative date of this event will be in January 2021.  Volunteers will meet children and bring them to the screening while also working with the professionals from Vision is Priceless to ensure a smooth event on campus.  Chair, Sala Pradhan will reach out as we get closer to the date!
Field Day (April 2021)  Join us as a volunteer on the field to help run our stations at this popular two-day event in April! You will be assigned to work the day that your child(ren) is participating!  We will also need help in our pre-event preparations...more details to follow as the date approaches.  TJ Lozowski will need lots of help as our Chair for this amazing event!
Spring Fling (May 2021)  This is our big end of the year event for families!  We look forward to hosting everyone on campus to enjoy the pool, a dunking booth featuring our sixth graders, balloon artists, and a talent show...just to name a few of the fun things to do! Join Chairs Kathryn Freidl and Leah Preston in the planning of this all JCDS event!
Uniform Resale (May 2021) Just as we wind down the year, we give you a chance to send in the uniforms your children have outgrown and then do a little shopping!  We will need volunteers to help sort, separate and set-up this event as well as be present for the sale. Our Chairs, Kristen Nagy and Krista Robbins look forward to working to provide this opportunity for our families!
Community Connections!  Once we are able to go back out into the community and enjoy some time together at restaurants - this committee will help to set-up those opportunities!
Fine Arts Enrichment Activity Volunteer (ongoing) Please note: These volunteer opportunities will not begin until we have been cleared to have parents on campus volunteering in this capacity.
Athletics Enrichment Volunteer (this is NOT a coaching opportunity)  Please note: These volunteer opportunities will not begin until we have been cleared to have parents on campus volunteering in this capacity.
Lost & Found (ongoing)  Please note: This volunteer opportunity will not begin until we have been cleared to have parents on campus volunteering in this capacity. Heather Goodfriend is the Chair for this group that works to make sure items find their way home!
Library (ongoing)  Please note: This volunteer opportunity will not begin until we have been cleared to have parents on campus volunteering in this capacity.  Once we can have parents back on campus, our Chair, Heather Berkley will coordinate times to help out!
Teacher/Staff Appreciation (ongoing)  Join this group as they work to prepare some wonderful ways to say 'Thank you' to our faculty and staff throughout the school year!  Amanda Baggett, Gina Galani and Paige Terry are serving as Chairs for this committee.
Homeroom Parent
Please note that we will not be filling these positions until school begins.  As a Homeroom Parent, you will be an important link to your classes families about what is happening on campus and ways they can be engaged!  Danielle Frey is the Chair for the Homeroom Parent Committee and you will work with Danielle, the homeroom or advisory teachers, and our PA Committees to help keep everyone up-to-date and connected!
