In the absence of any Scarsdale School District-produced directory, the seven individual school PTAs traditionally compile and produce school-specific student directories and make them available solely to their PTA members. Scarsdale families whose children attend out-of-district schools may have their contact information included in the student directories at no charge and are also invited to join the applicable PTAs as members, thereby entitling them to the corresponding student directories.
Student directories are not available for use by or for distribution to the general public. The use of any PTA-produced directory for unauthorized purposes, including but not limited to commercial, political, petition or charitable solicitations, is strictly forbidden.
PTC and the PTAs reserve the right to revoke access to student directories in the event of unauthorized use.To help ensure completeness and accuracy of the data to be included in the student directories, the PTAs request the District to provide information defined in Board of Education Policy 5500 (Student Records) as “directory information.” Directory information includes but is not limited to the following items: student name, address(es), grade level, homeroom, parent/legal guardian name(s), parent/legal guardian phone number(s), and parent/legal guardian e-mail address(es).
