BOYS ACADEMY: Best For 6-9th Grade (No High School experience) – Other ages are eligible to participate
Our MVC Boys Academy is a program for incoming 6th-9th grade boys that will work on skill development, teamwork and gameplay. Older players are eligible to join, but it is geared more towards first or second year players. Players with club experience are encouraged to also join our high school 6 on 6 league/season. The Academy program was created to prepare players for club tryouts in August. Each week will get progressively more challenging for the players. A fundamental skill such as hitting, passing, serving, etc., will be practiced each week with simulated gameplay to follow. That skill will get more challenging each week as well. The gameplay will also be designed to demonstrate that specific week’s skill focus. This is a great program for all skillsets and players will be divided up accordingly. We will also touch on rotations, offensive and defensive strategy, and additional advanced skillsets by the end of the academy. We want these players to be as prepared as possible heading into club tryouts.
Boys will sign up for the entire series of 8 nights (Tuesday and Thursdays June 1-June 24th). No walk-ups, or single night registration allowed. No discounts for missed weeks. This program will sell out and we need to track attendance each week due to COVID.
This program will include a total of 16 hours of instruction and gameplay. (We try to base our pricing around $15 per hour of instruction)
Payment is required in full and can be made via cash or check (made out to Momentum Volleyball Club) on the first night at the sign-in table.

Cost: $250 (16 hours of instruction over 8 Nights. Breaks down to approx. $15 per hour.)
Only two forms required to bring with you. MVC Participation Waiver and MVC Covid Waiver. We will email these documents prior to the start of the academy and have blank forms at the sigh in table as well. Forms only need to be signed one time for all summer events.
