Bakersfield College partners with the American Heart Association to provide this Heartsaver® training.

The course includes CPR for adults, children, and infants; AHA Chain of Survival; use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); ventilations using a barrier device; importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation; and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking). This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.
