Application for Degree Candidacy is required after completing 15 Arcadia graduate credits and  a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required.  Candidacy is the academic program plan for the degree indicating ALL REQUIRED COURSES and MUST be on file in the Registrar Office at the time of degree conferral.  

The Master of Education degree is a minimum of 30 credits that include concentration courses, education foundation courses, a culminating activity course, and elective courses (if needed) to meet the 30 credit degree requirement). You must maintain the 3.0 GPA throughout the program to degree completion.

Courses taken for the graduate degree are also applicable toward PA Teacher Certification and Arcadia Certificates.  Transfer credit (if applicable) should be listed on the Degree Candidacy under Electives, option other.  No more than six graduate credits are permitted as transfer. Credits may not be part of a prior degree.   Undergraduate credits are not applicable toward a graduate degree.
