Camp Bethel Summer Staff Recommendation Form
Thank you for your cooperation throughout this recommendation process. The applicant has applied to work/volunteer on a camp staff for up to eight weeks this summer with children and youth at Camp Bethel (Fincastle, VA).  

Camp Bethel is the summer camp ministry of the Virlina District of the Church of the Brethren. We anticipate over 800 children and youth will participate in our small-group residential and adventure programs this summer on our 470 acres in Virginia's Blue Ridge. Our activities are focused in the outdoors, and we depend upon hard-working, resilient, mature, fun, initiative-taking young adults (and older teens) to creatively engage the campers in experiential Christian education in our natural setting, all while keeping the campers safe: physically, emotionally and psychologically.
