CHSS National Webinar - What Will Students Learn? Exploring Tools for Identifying and Mapping Yearlong Instructional Standards - October 5th, 3:30pm - 5:00pm PDT
Description: This is the first of a yearlong 5-part series.
A culturally and historically responsive, standards based year-long map is essential to culturally-responsive, effective and equitable Tier I or Core instruction. Well planned, accessible, equitable instruction reduces the need for Tier II and III supports. Aligning instruction to prioritized standards organized in a year-long map is a critical stage in the development of your accessible, equitable and effective 9th Grade Success program and is a foundational step to sustain 9th Grade Success. This webinar will share steps, tools, and examples you can use with your teams to map each content area and then create themes, essential questions, which can bring clarity and focus to instruction for teachers, students, and families. One of our current network teams will share their current map and how it helps them implement an effective advisory program.
