On August 20, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) announced revised compliance parameters for the Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) mandate.

In the update, AHCA established monthly minimum compliance thresholds of the percentage of visits paid that were verified as fully compliant visits through EVV technology.

The monthly targets that Statewide Medicaid Managed Care health plans will be responsible for meeting are:
     • October 1, 2020 – 60% of all visits paid were verified using EVV technology
     • November 1, 2020 – 70% of all visits paid were verified using EVV technology
     • December 1, 2020 – 80% of all visits paid were verified using EVV technology
     • January 1, 2021 – 85% of all visits paid were verified using EVV technology

With just over a month until AHCA expects health plans to meet the 60% compliance rate or deny provider claims for non-compliance, HCAF wants to know how ready you are for October 1.
