Regulation waivers are no longer as of March 15, 2024 due to the publication of the new 8.700 regulations. Within the new regulations, Safety Control Procedures (SCP) are simply considered Rights Modifications, and will need to follow those regulations in order to be implemented. As long as all necessary requirements and documentation are completed, including obtaining the informed consent of the member or guardian, for the Rights Modification, it will not be necessary for an incident report to be submitted with each use of the Rights Modification. This removes the ongoing need for regulation waivers which provided administrative relief from the burden of completing an incident report each time a SCP was utilized.
