University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC) is committed to providing co-curricular activities that will assist students in the development of leadership and community service skills that complement excellent classroom education. Here at UH Maui, Registered Independent Student Organizations (RISO's) are just that, independent and self-governed student organizations formed with common interests and activities. Clubs are Independent of the University of Hawaiʻi system while being embraced as part of student life, providing places for our students to gather, make new friends, and find community.
Want To Start A Club? Go For It!!! Any Group of three (3) or more currently enrolled students are more than welcome to complete this registration request. A UHMC student may start a club at any time with approval from the Department of Student Life. The organization's membership is open, without discrimination, with the exception of the club officers who MUST be registered University of Hawaii Maui College students.
Please submit your Charter, By-Laws and a current roster of members to Student Life Director, Albert Paschoal,
paschoal@hawaii.edu or feel free to bring them by the Student Life office in the Student Lounge. Be sure to attend one of the two orientation meetings in order to finalize your organization's eligibility and status.
