HRSD Family Survey: Return to Full In-Person Learning
Dear Families,

We need your urgent feedback. Over the past several months, we have continued our planning for a full return to in-person learning. Based on newly proposed mandates issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary (DESE) this week, hybrid learning will NO LONGER be an option for our district schools. This proposed mandate requires our students return to a full in-person model by April 5, although waivers may be made available given districts’ unique contexts.

Responses to this brief survey are critical in helping us to adequately plan for a full return to in-person learning by the DESE deadline.

What does this mean for your child/ren?
FOR IN-PERSON STUDENTS:
Masks will continue to be a requirement for students, staff, and visitors.
There MAY be a change in the minimum physical distancing required in the classroom from 6-feet to 3-feet.
Lunch: It is possible your student may be assigned to have lunch in their designated classroom or in the gym depending on space (instead of cafeteria).

FOR REMOTE ONLY STUDENTS:
Based on these new DESE requirements, it is possible remote students will be reassigned to a new, remote-only multi-grade classroom (NOT with their current teacher). Remote students may be assigned to a remote classroom with students outside their school building (with other students in our district).

Please take a moment to complete the form FOR EACH CHILD in your care. **This survey will close on Saturday, March 6 at midnight.**

Thank you in advance!
