Community Collaborative Exhibit
We are looking for a community member who wants to collaborate with the museum!

Our co-curator will get to choose the idea or theme of the exhibit, and bring their own objects, archives, or story to display. Your exhibit should have some connection to the Sunshine Coast, and can be historical or contemporary -- get creative, and pitch us your most interesting ideas for a pop-up exhibit! If you have an exhibit idea that is related to under-represented histories, even better! The co-curator will work with museum staff to plan and install the display in our upstairs gallery. We will pay to print up the interpretive panels for the exhibit.

The chosen submission will be selected based on the strength of the story, objects, and theme of the exhibit. Our co-curator will receive an honourarium for their time (approx. 6 hours). The exhibit will be hosted at the museum in Gibsons for 4 months.  All ages are welcome to submit an exhibit idea! (participants under the age of 18 will need parental consent; and under the age of 12, parental superivison). Exhibits will be chosen by July 21, 2023.

If you have an idea of something would make a great museum exhibit, fill out the form for chance to create with us!
