Family Promise of WNY is an emergency shelter for homeless families.  This position is for a Temporary Chef to prepare and serve meals for the families living in our program.  How do you feel about working in this kind of environment? *

What experience do you have preparing meals in a professional setting? *
Our Temporary Chef position works alone to prep, cook and clean up after dinner in our family homeless shelter each night.  You will be the only person creating, preparing and serving meals.  How do you feel about working independently? *
Our Chef cooks in the same common space that the families living in our homeless shelter use, so you are constantly around children and families while you cook.  Please describe to us how you feel about working in this kind of environment: *
A Chef position is physical.  It requires standing for hours at a time, working with knives and hot liquids, and heavy lifting (lifting pots and pans, etc. - up to 30lbs)  Are you able to meet the physical demands of the position? *
The starting wage for this position is $19.50/hour - are you willing to work for that wage? *
We are located at 75 Hickory Street across from JFK Park.  Do you have reliable transportation or a reliable way to get to work at all hours of the day and night? *
The hours for this position are 2:00-10:00pm, Monday-Thursday.  We serve dinner between 5:00-7:00pm those evenings and we don't serve meals on Friday.  Are you able to work during these hours? *
