IE-CAMFT Board Position Interest Form

President-Elect (Vacancy x1)
  • The president-elect shall succeed to the presidency. He/she shall, in the absence of the president or in the president’s inability to serve, perform the duties of the president. He/she shall also perform those duties assigned to him/her by the president and/or the board of directors.
Secretary (Vacancy x1)
  • The secretary shall keep or cause to be kept, an electronic record of minutes of the proceedings of its members, board and committees of the board, with the time and place of holding, whether general or special, and, if special, how authorized, the notice given, the names of those present at such meetings, the numbers of members present or represented at such member’s meetings, and the proceedings of such meetings and will submit them for editing and posting to the website following approval by the board. The secretary shall inform CAMFT, within thirty (30) days of election or appointment, of the names and addresses of all chapter officers. The secretary shall give or cause to be given, notice of all meetings of the members and of the board of directors required by the bylaws. The secretary shall have such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the board of directors or the bylaws. In the event of the secretary’s absence, his/her duties may be performed by any member appointed by the president. 
Board Member at Large (Vacancy x4)
  • Board Members at Large participate in the development and implementation of the IE-CAMFT's strategic plan, ensuring it aligns with the organization's mission and member needs. They contribute to the governance of IE-CAMFT by upholding its bylaws, policies, and ethical guidelines, ensuring the organization operates legally and ethically. They engage with the IE-CAMFT membership to understand their needs and perspectives, representing their interests in board discussions and decisions. They serve on or liaise with IE-CAMFT committees, providing guidance and oversight to ensure committee objectives are met and support the overall goals of the organization. They participate in budgeting and financial oversight processes to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. They advocate for the Marriage and Family Therapy profession and participate in outreach efforts to enhance IE-CAMFT's visibility and impact within the community. They attend and contribute to the planning and execution of IE-CAMFT events, including conferences, workshops, and board meetings.
