The Spokane Cyber Cup is an event to learn
all there is about cybersecurity and hacking. Although this is framed as
a competition with teams, this is a learning event at its core. If you're new to
cybersecurity, this is a wonderful event to get your feet wet. If you
have been into cybersecurity for years, I guarantee you will learn new things, meet interesting people and/or even end up with a job
opportunity.
To encourage a learning environment:
- Coaches,
who do cybersecurity or technology professionally, help you with
challenges when you get stuck. This drastically speeds up the learning
process, especially because the coaches are eager to help you learn.
- Breaks are taken throughout, which all include free food. The event is also completely free with prizes.
- With so many tech professionals, this is an amazing way to find job opportunities and learn more about the industry.There will also be a keynote speaker to talk about the cybersecurity space as well.
- Singles are guaranteed to be placed onto a team.
