Not only is volunteering a great way to invest in the community around you, but it looks great on resumes and college applications. The Fort Atkinson Farmers Market is a friendly, fun, and energetic atmosphere to join and we greatly appreciates all of our volunteers. They are a big part of what make us so unique and worth visiting! We are committed to building a strong community both within and around the market. If you are looking to fulfill volunteer hours for high school or college requirements, or other organizations, we are happy to help!

Our volunteer opportunities are primarily between the hours of 6:30 am and 12:15pm every Saturday from the Beginning of May through the end of October. (You will have the chance below to specify dates and times you are interested in.)

While many of the tasks we need help with are easy and fun, we do require help with physical tasks as well.

Are you willing, able to, and comfortable with, performing physical tasks such as setting up canopies and chairs, climbing stairs, lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), or setting up wooden road barricades? *

As a volunteer you may encounter challenging scenarios from time to time. We would like you to imagine the following and tell us how you would choose to react.

A guest at the market is angry and complaining very vocally to you about something. Perhaps a vendor they expected to be present didn't show up. Or maybe the musician is late. How do you imagine yourself reacting.

There is no wrong answer, so be honest. This will simply be used to determine where you will be best suited for volunteering at the market. *

Apologize that they are having a poor experience and politely ask them to wait a moment while you get the Market Manager for them.

Tell them you understand and ask them how you can make it better for them.

I would probably break down and cry.

I only give respect when and where I receive it. I'd yell back at them.

Shrug and walk away. There's no talking to people like that.

If you answered "yes" please tell us what degree or school interests you are pursuing so we can find tasks that may fit those interests.

As mentioned we are in need of individuals every Saturday from set up to tear down. (6:30 am until 12:15)
Please tell us the Dates and hours within that time frame that you would be most interested in and available to volunteer with us.
