MEMPHIS COMIC EXPO (MCX) 2023 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
It is your responsibility to read and understand the items stated below prior to completing this application.

SHOW HOURS:
Saturday Sept 23 - 9:30am VIP /10am GA - 6pm
Sunday Sept 24 - 9:30am VIP /10am GA - 5pm

LOAD-IN HOURS: will vary, but we need help Thursday Sept 21 and Friday Sept 22 from around 11am to 6pm each day.

VOLUNTEER MEETING: will likely be on Thursday around 5pm at the Agricenter, but that date/time may change.

Several volunteer opportunities are available such as:
--guest table assistants
--line managers
--ticketing and check-in desk operators
--entrance/exit monitors
--venue setup and teardown
--floaters
and more!

Volunteer hours will vary depending on job assignment and your availability.  
We ask that you arrive ON TIME and ready to work during your assigned shift and be a team player!  
Floaters will be available to relieve you as needed.
Volunteers must take their responsibilities seriously and stay at their post during their assigned shift. We will also try to allow time for you to enjoy the show a bit!
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately. Comfortable shoes are a must, as there will be lots of walking and standing involved.

You'll get an exclusive MCX staff shirt and staff badge upon check-in for your shift. Saturday & Sunday volunteers also get lunch and drinks while on shift.

Volunteers must be respectful of guests, staff, & attendees, obey all of the con rules, and act in a professional manner while at MCX. MCX reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer whom we feel does not adhere to the guidelines set and/or who fails to satisfactorily complete their duties.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MORE VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUBMITTED THAN WE HAVE SPOTS AVAILABLE.  Closer to the show, confirmations will be sent via email to confirm your spot.
If you are not chosen, it is simply because we did not have enough AVAILABLE SPOTS. Please do not take it personally and apply again for a future year!
