Chongtian Badminton - Player/Parent Code of Conduct Contract

Mission: The mission of Chongtian Badminton (or “the program”) is to help each child reach their maximum potential in the sport while teaching them how to conduct themselves both on and off the court.

Expectations: The following is a written contract between players, parents and coaches pledging to follow the rules and expectations of the team and the game.

Player Expectations:

I will treat teammates, opposing players, coaches, parents, officials and spectators with respect at all times, on and off the court.

I will strive to play to 100% of my capabilities at all times.

When traveling with the team, I agree to abide by all team rules set by the program and my coach and promise that the team's goals will be my priority.

On non-practice and non-game days, I will work on the skills and conditioning programs as requested by my coach.

I will do my best to positively reinforce teammates and create an enjoyable and effective training atmosphere.

I recognize that part of my duty, as a player, is to accept constructive criticism in order to help improve my play and the team atmosphere.

I will take responsibility for and come prepared to each training session and match with the appropriate gear and equipment: racket, shoes, birds (if applicable).

I understand that players involved in violent or bullying behavior towards other players, game officials, coaches or spectators will be dismissed from the program.

If I hear any degrading comments directed towards myself or a teammate, I will inform a coach immediately.

I recognize that my coaches and my teammates expect these commitments to be followed and they will hold me accountable in order for us to be a successful and cohesive team.

I understand that failure to meet these expectations can lead to dismissal from the program at the coaches’ discretion.

Parent Expectations:

I will be a positive role model for my child and others by encouraging good sportsmanship and demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, spectators and officials at every practice and competition.

I will treat all facilities and facilities’ employees with respect.

I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child and the other players ahead of my desire to win.

I will teach my child that doing his/her best is more important than winning.

I will do my best to make badminton fun at all times and will remember that my child participates in sports for their own enjoyment and satisfaction.

I will teach my child to resolve conflicts calmly and peacefully without resorting to hostility or violence.

I will demand a playing environment for my child that is free of drug and alcohol abuse and agree that I will not use or provide, to a third-party, any illegal drug prohibited by applicable federal, state, or municipal law.

I will respect my child’s coach and refrain from “side line” coaching my child or other players.

I understand that:

a. Chongtian Badminton is committed to creating a safe and positive playing environment for its players and parents.

b. Chongtian Badminton expects that parents and coaches set an example of appropriate behavior and ethics for the players.

c. Parents involved in disruptive or violent behavior towards players, game officials, coaches, facility workers or spectators will have their children dismissed from the team.

To participate in the program, all players and parents must agree to fulfill these expectations.

Rescheduling/Deferred Attendance Policy

Students are expected to attend their scheduled classes on-time. Students who wish to defer their class must provide written request to Chongtian Badminton no less than 24 hours prior to the day of the scheduled class to request for deferral authorization. If notice was not provided or provided within 24hrs from the day of the scheduled class, no deferral authorization or refund will be given. Medically related absences are excluded from the 24hr notice policy only if the request/notification is accompanied by a written notice from a medical professional. All deferred classes must be completed prior to the end training period.

Payment and Refund Policy

Payment must be made in full prior to the start of the training program. No refunds will be provided once the training period starts. No refunds will be provided for unused classes. Classes are not transferrable to other individuals or other training programs. Refunds will not be provided to students who have been disenrolled due to misconduct.
