Bingothon Summer 2023 - Social Media Volunteer Application
Hello, and thank you for applying as a Social Media volunteer for Bingothon Summer 2023! As a Social Media volunteer, you will help in showcasing what is up during the event on Twitter, inform followers of what runs are happening, fun clips, and all other shenanigans that may happen.

If you do not have experience, don't worry! We will be sure to help you with any questions you may have, and assist you in your shifts if you need it.

This role involves pre-marathon responsibilities as well as in-marathon responsibilities. They will be detailed below.

Responsibilities include:

PRE-MARATHON:

- Preparing tweets on the Master Social Media document for each run of the marathon.

IN-MARATHON:

- Ensure that run tweets get tweeted out by the Twittr tool at the appropriate time, and with no errors.
- Engage with people interacting with our Twitter
- Make clips of fun / highlight-worthy moments and post them on Twitter.
   - If possible, log said clips on Master Social Media doc.
- Keep track of upcoming bid wars / incentives, and advertise them appropriately if/when needed.
- Post milestone tweets when reaching certain donation milestones.
- In general, keeping an eye on what's going on in the stream and posting tweets when you feel it's appropriate to do so.

Additional projects
Of course, tweeting will be the majority of the work for social media volunteers at Bingothon. However, there is definitely more that can be made: video content, visual content... MEMES! You name it, there's a lot more that can be made.

If you'd be interested in helping out with social media projects for Bingothon Summerr 23 that would go BEYOND the original duties, then please voice your interest here, as well as any ideas you might have!

Once you're there, an organizer will you give you the Social Media role if you've made it.

If you've made it into the team, you will then later be given access to the Master Social Document, as well as to the volunteer schedule sheet down the line so you may write down your availabilities for the event.
