VOLUNTEERING FOR Awaken AT PENINSULA HOT SPRINGS
Thanks for your interest - volunteers are highly valued members of our team and we are so grateful for their service! We are  preparing for Awaken at Peninsula Hot Springs and are excited to bring to you this immersive wellness experience. Part of what makes our event special is our volunteers who help us create a warm, inclusive, respectful and happy vibe.

There are few things to note:
Because you are representing Awaken, you will need to remain sober during your shift.
In exchange a full festival pass, you will be assigned 1 x 6-hour shifts, which may include a morning, or night shift, during or before or after the event.

How does volunteering work?
you will work 1 x 6-hour shift in exchange for a 1-day festival pass.

Can I camp at the festival?
Sorry, Camping is not included

Is there a space for me to leave my bag?
We prefer that you find a secure space to leave your things. There will be space to leave your bag but it is in an unsecured space and cant be consistently monitored.

Can I volunteer with a friend?
We should be able to schedule you at the same time, and hopefully in a role working alongside each other. This doesn’t always work for the roles on offer, but we will do our best.

What should I wear and/or bring to my shift?
Closed toe shoes, sun smart clothing ( long loose cotton or linen shirt is ideal), layers in case it gets cold, snacks like fruit and nuts to keep your energy up, a full water bottle and sunhat.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Box Office
If assigned to the box office, you will check wristbands, assist with selling festival tickets, help direct, and answer questions.

Artist / VIP Management / Stage Management
This position will include greeting Artists and Vips at the Artist/VIP Entry, hand out artist packs, assist with directions, and acquire help for Artists Equipment if necessary.

General Festival Duties
Assist with keeping the grounds clean and to uphold the recycling policy of the festival. May be utilized to move equipment and boxes. This would need to indicate if they are able to assist with light lifting duties.

Crowd / Area Control
These positions will be at different gates and thorough-fares throughout the venue. Crowd control will check patrons to ensure they are adorned with the correct wristbands for that area before they move into another area.

Day Prior / Day After Volunteer Options
There are many positions for Festival Set-up including Decorating, Production Assistants, Electrical, Driving, Office Work. There is also an option to ssist with Pack-down from Sunday.
