Papua New Guinea '24 Group Trip!
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your interest in joining our potential group trip to Papua New Guinea!! This is probably one of the most remote, logistically difficult destinations we have attempted with #MyLifesATravelTribe, and thus, also a bit more expensive, but I guarantee you it's worth it! In fact, out of the 126 countries I've been to, PNG has been one of my favorites not only because it's beautiful, but because it's still incredibly preserved, and there's no tourists running around!

*PLEASE ONLY FILL THIS OUT IF YOU ARE 100% INTERESTED IN JOINING AND ALSO INTERESTED IN HELPING TO POSITIVELY PROMOTE PNG!*

This trip is through an NGO that has very high standards for who goes on their trips and represents them and their cause. This is not just a beautiful vacation, it is a cultural immersion and a powerful way of spreading positive stereotypes and publicity for an entire country. The NGO has asked for more info than we usually ask for and might want to speak to you before accepting your booking!

Below is our tentative schedule, some notes, and estimated cost:

Projected Dates: We are aiming to be there during the Koroka Show in the Highlands, where many tribes dress up in traditional wear and show off their customs and performances, this is likely Sept 14-15. So we will either need to do Sept 9-16 OR Sept 13-20. Please note your preference below!

Cost: Estimated $4300 **this is based on 20 people joining, if there are less the price may increase since one of the points of group trips is splitting costs.

  1. *Please also check flights in case the price affects your decision! I would recommend looking into flying into Japan, Philippines, or Australia first (I heard there is a new low cost carrier from USA to Japan!) and then a round trip flight to PNG. You can also attempt looking up directly to PNG.

Day 1: Arrive in Port Moresby, overnight either at a hotel with infinity pool attached to a mall (AKA safe for lounging and shopping) or head straight to a hotel on a private island.

Day 2: Fly to Rabaul, likely get in in the afternoon, depending on time, we can go see the WWII tunnel then be back for sunset and dinner

Day 3: Early morning dolphin swimming on rope ladder, followed by Duke of York Islands tour and lunch at a sandbar

Day 4: Mt. Tuvurvur active volcano hike, then swim/snorkel at The Beehive, then more snorkeling at The Wall (a massive coral wall near an island)

Day 5: Fly back to Port Moresby to then Fly up to Goroka in the Highlands (this will likely be an all day process unfortunately)

Day 6: Goroka Show! We may also try to go and visit a local village

Day 7: Goroka Show day 2 and depart back to Port Moresby

Day 8: Departures
