Required courses must first be taken at VCHS for original credit. VCHS
offers a Christ-centered Biblical perspective that is not a part of most other school curriculums. Students who wish to remediate a low grade earned in a VCHS class (D or F) or students who desire to take a class that is not already part of the VCHS curriculum may apply for transfer credit.
Transfer credit will be included on the student’s official VCHS transcript only if the course applies towards a graduation requirement. (Courses taken for personal enrichment are not included on an official VCHS transcript.) Upon completion of the course, students need to submit an official transcript to the registrar before credit will be considered. Courses taken at the college level are issued the equivalent of one year of credit, but will not be given honors points.
A maximum of 1.0 transfer credit per core discipline may be taken outside of VCHS. A student may not exceed 3.0 total transfer credits across the core curriculum. Students wishing to earn transfer credit for Non-VCHS classes must complete the following form and receive approval prior to enrolling in the course.
