Between 1954 and 1975, Baravan Productions built just under two and half thousand caravans.

Owners of Baravans are blessed with a wealth of information about the history of our caravans thanks to the excellent history of the company written by David Barrett's son, Bruce.

As an owner of a Baravan in Victoria, I was interested to see how many Baravan's are still around, and where they're located, as I know of only one other in the state.

In an attempt to find out, I've decided to create a "register" of Baravans, and would appreciate any information you can share about your Baravan, or Baravans you know of.

All information you supply will be kept confidential, but if I get enough data I will publish some statistics on how many Baravans have been identified in each state of Australia, and the status of known vans (without any personal details revealed).

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to learning about the other Baravans out there.

What is the Chassis Number of the van you're reporting?

The chassis number is usually welded on the draw bar of the van, and will proabably be a number between 0 and 2475, although based on Bruce's history, there were several "home built" kits made, with chassis numbers going up to 2483.
