Curie Learning’s Signature Level 7 Program
This program incorporates high-level coursework in math, English, writing, science, and critical thinking, with a focus on preparation for success in high school and college. This program will help students to not only prepare for any advanced institutions such as AOS/AET and TJ, but also to succeed and even thrive in any high school and later in any college/university.

Semester 1: (4 classes/month)  $1,095.00     Aug. 25th, 2023 - Dec.19th, 2023

*Semester 2: (7 classes/month)   $1,850.00     Jan. 2nd, 2024 - June 23rd, 2024
Additional $300 for extra classes for new students. (Mandatory)

Semester 3 (option 1): (8-11 classes/month) $1,850.00 + $300 (TJ/AOS/AET Extra Prep classes):

Level 7 Class composition:
  • Regular Weekly classes (semesters 1-3): held once per week for two hours and 15 minutes - includes the 1-hour math class (taught by Dr. Rao Mulpuri) and the 1 hour 15 min. English class (taught by various talented English teachers). Students will go over material on their own and will discuss it in class, then will be given the next assignment to go over for a week before joining the next class session. Students will also be given practice tests in or outside of the weekly classes, as well.  Please click here to review the level 7 English curriculum. You may contact Dr. Rao directly to discuss the math curriculum.
  • Alternate Sunday Science and Writing classes (semesters 2 and 3): These online classes will be held every other Sunday from 5:30pm - 7:45pm. This includes the 1-hour science class (taught by Dr. Rao) and the 1-hour writing class (taught by Mr. Fletcher).
  • Monthly three-on-one session (semesters 2 and 3): Parents will need to have the student sign up (through the SignUpGenius website) for an essay review session each month, in which an English teacher and three students peer review each others' essays. These sessions are online only, and are managed by Mr. Fletcher.
  • *Extra classes in January 2024 (Mandatory for new students! Beginning of semester 2 only): These are offered to students who are joining from January 2024 to go over lessons taught from the fall 2023 semester. There are approximately 8 extra classes that are held outside of regular class timings, and will be held online until Spring 2024. These classes are beneficial for students to make sure that they cover as much previous material to stay on track with the second semester classes. 
  • Extra prep classes (semester 3): Included as extra favors offered by teachers for more learning opportunities to further prepare for magnet school examinations and applications. These extra classes are dependent on the teachers' lesson schedules, and includes some practice tests.

The entire program will welcome new students in its first semester from late August/September 2023, and students are always accepted to join at any point of the academic year, unless advised otherwise.
The second semester will start in January 2024 and will last until June 2024.
These classes will also run through a third semester from July - December 2024, in which students will also start taking practice exams.
*This course is a 10-month course. 10-month courses run from the 26th of August through the 18th of June.

JOINING AFTER THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED:

*Any student who joins after the start of the first semester will cover lessons that are currently being taught from the week that they join. As stated above in the extra classes portion, opportunities to review lessons from the beginning of the curriculum (from the September semester) are only available during a scheduled time frame in the beginning of the January 2024 semester (8 extra sessions: $300.00).

BEFORE YOU ENROLL:

***Levels that correspond with the student's grade in their day schools are NOT EQUIVALENT with each other.
If you are looking for a course that will more directly help your child for his/her current school year, please register your child in a lower level.

Placement Tests
For those who have not taken it yet - we have made the Placement Tests available online via the following links:

All new students MUST take the placement test BEFORE they are registered into the program. It is also optional for returning students to take the test if the patron so chooses.
The placement test will help determine which level we believe will be best for your child. We offer a recommendation based on the results of the test.

Please call our center for advice on which level to place your child.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

*The expectation after making the payment is that your child will receive an invitation to the student email address that you will provide in Section 5 of this form.

BOTH THE REGISTRATION FORM AND THE FULL PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN ORDER FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE OFFICIALLY ASSIGNED TO A CLASS SECTION. REGISTRATION FORMS ALONE DO NOT RESERVE YOUR CHILD'S SPOT IN A CLASS SECTION. ONCE THE PAYMENT IS MADE, YOUR CHILD WILL BE OFFICIALLY PLACED INTO A SECTION.

  *Any registrations made after the due date will be considered late. Please be aware that those who register late may not be able to join the first class.

After you complete and submit this enrollment form, and after we receive your payment, your child will receive a Google Classroom invitation (to the student email address that you provided in Section 7 of this form).

NOTE: When making the payment for the SECOND SEMESTER, continuing students who have registered during the first semester will NOT need complete this registration form a second time, as long as they have fully completed the first semester. To continue through the second semester, you will only need to make the second payment.

EXPECTATIONS WHEN ATTENDING COURSES:

Google Classroom InvitationYour child will receive a Google Classroom invitation (to the student email address that you provided in this form).
*ALL students must utilize Google Classroom (whether they are attending online or in-person).


How will my child receive the Google Classroom Invitation?
This is accomplished after you complete the following:
1). Completed and submitted this enrollment form (after you have thoroughly read through it)
2). Provided a payment to Curie Learning for it to go through processing


When receiving the invitation, please make sure to abide by the following standards:
  • Child's Name Appears Under the Account: Please make sure to create an email address UNDER YOUR CHILD'S NAME, since the name associated with the email address must match the name indicated in enrollment records. This helps the teachers easily-recognize your child's account in the Google Classroom, as well.
  • Enable NotificationsPlease also make sure to enable Google Classroom notifications, so that your child receives the Google Classroom invitation. In order to enable notifications, please go to the Google Classroom homepage. Then, click the triple bar (icon with three horizontal lines) in the top left corner and click SETTINGS, (which is located at the bottom). Please make sure EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS are on (the button will turn blue).
  • Consistently Using Google Classroom: This is a MUSTAll communications, including class schedule, course materials, Zoom links, grades, and teacher comments will be provided via the students' Google Classrooms. As a parent, you may follow up with your child's progress by checking the Google Classroom (by logging into your child's email address and viewing it).

Curie Learning will only use the student's email address for the Google Classroom; all other emails and announcements will be sent to the provided parent email addresses.

PAYMENT METHOD AND OPTIONS:

Payment Option 1: Pay with a check or cash. Any checks should be made payable to "Curie Learning LLC". The memo should include your child's FIRST AND LAST NAME. Checks must be written in black or blue ink.

Drop off the check/cash in-person at any Curie Learning center in Ashburn, Herndon, or Chantilly/South Riding during open office hours only.

Please write your child's name (first and last) along with their level on a blank sheet of paper, and staple it to the check/payment prior to submitting your payment. Your registration will be processed once both are received.

If sending by mail, please mail the check to Curie Learning at 43250 Stonewall Pond Street, Chantilly, VA, 20152. Please be aware that it may take 3-5 business days for us to receive the check; students will not be enrolled into a class until the payment has been received and processed, so mailed payments must be sent well in advance.

Payment Option 2: Make an online payment. Please note that an additional 4% will be charged for any online payment. To make an online payment, please follow these steps:

• Ensure that the enrollment form has already been filled out and submitted.

• Request an invoice. To do this, fill out this form: CURIE ONLINE PAYMENT REQUEST FORM   

• You will receive the invoice via email within 3-4 business days. You can pay the invoice through PayPal, credit card, or debit card. Please note that an additional (non-refundable) 4% will be charged.
