As our space is used by many different folks in the community, it is essential that all organizations and individuals understand the importance of our building use policy and procedures. Following all procedures, including clean up after an event, guarantees the successful continuation of community events, meetings, gatherings, educational and fitness classes. Please be sure to read the Greensboro United Church of Christ Building Use Policy and Procedures Agreement
Our Building Use Policy dictates that: DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF REMEDY: In the unlikely event that a member of Greensboro United Church of Christ (“GUCC”) passes away and GUCC’s facilities are needed for a funeral or memorial service which coincides with another planned use for GUCC’s facilities, such funeral or memorial service will pre-empt all other planned activities at GUCC’s facilities. GUCC’s sole obligation under this agreement is the refund of the fee paid for the use of GUCC’s facilities, and GUCC shall in no way be held responsible for incidental or consequential losses in any way connected with the loss of use of GUCC’s facilities. This agreement should in no way whatsoever be taken or construed as a guarantee, warranty, or any other type of coverage.

3. Clean up all areas you use and leave the Building in a “broom clean” condition. Clean-up includes:

a. Sweeping and general tidying. The long mop for cleaning the floor, a dustpan, and a brush can be found in the closet at the top of the entry stairs to Fellowship Hall on the right.

b. Removal of everything you, or your guests, brought with you;

c. Washing tables, counters, dishes, etc.

d. Any towels or tablecloths belonging to the church must be returned laundered and clean before Sunday at 8:30 am

e. Putting chairs and tables back where they are stored

f. Recyclables (bottles, cans, plastic, tin, paper, cardboard) are in appropriate containers in the kitchen, but not in the trash.

g. All trash must be placed in the metal-covered garbage cans in the kitchen with the lids firmly on. If you fill the can, please dispose of your trash by taking it with you when you are finished. Replacement trash bags can be found under the sink in the kitchen. No food-related trash can be left in small trash cans or anywhere in the building.

h. Make sure your party has not significantly dirtied the bathroom. If the bathroom so requires, please clean it appropriately.

You may wish to utilize an outside cleaning service. In that event, the right of first refusal belongs to the Church Custodian, Marie Beaudry. She can be contacted at (802) 673-2392 or mariebeaudry9@gmail.com
