EDW Showstarz Audition Form
Filling this out will let us know your level of commitment to the Encore Dance Wellington Showstarz Competition Team and will help us better plan for the upcoming season. Each team member must re-audition each year to maintain a spot on the team.

Saturday July 29:  9:30 am  -11:00 am (Learn/Audition)

Ages 10+:  (age as of Jan 1, 2024)
Saturday July 29:  Noon  - 2:00 pm (Learn/Audition)

Please fill out this form WITH your dancer- to let us know your plans and preferences for the upcoming Showstarz Dance Season!  We WILL consider your answers for routine placement. The more dance styles your a willing to do - the more opportunity they will have to compete.  You WILL get a copy of these answers - and you SHOULD be able to make changes prior to audition day.

Upon completion of this form - a $20 Audition Fee is due at Auditions. Cash, Check, or Venmo will be accepted. We can charge your account for online payments by request.

All team members will be put into GROUP/Team routines. The number will vary by your preferences and what will work best for our team as a whole!

What is the maximum number of Team Dances you'd like to be placed in? This is the # of dances that are part of the dance schedule/monthly tuition charges. You will not be placed in more dances than you choose, but may be placed in fewer dances than you choose based on the needs of the team. (Please Refer to the Audition Packet information for the cost expectations per routine. )
ADDITIONAL DANCE OPPORTUNITY: Solo/Duo Pricing Guides:
FOR PLANNING PURPOSES: Solo Routine: $300 - Duo/Trio Routine: $350 for a limited number of private lessons to teach choreography, review before Comps. General Entry Fee per Event: Solos: $105-125 - Duets/Trios: $65-75/per person. These charges do not include costume fees or any additional props.
SOLO: Would you be interested in doing a SOLO? If YES- please list any details you have in mind. What Dance Style(s) would you consider for your SOLO  list and any details: Choreography/music/costume you are thinking of - or who you'd like to work with. 
DUO/TRIO: Would you be interested in doing a DUO/Trio This Season? If YES- please list any details you have in mind. Who you plan to dance with. NOTE: The studio doesn't put duos/trios together - this is an option routine agreed on put together by Dancers/Parents.  
SUMMER DANCE: Please list any summer dance training you participated in since recital. Include EDW classes, skills classes, workshops or any outside intensives, classes, or performance opportunities. *
Extracurricular Activities / Sports / Conflicts:
SHOWSTARZ MUST BE A PRIORITY FOR YOUR DANCER.
Communication is KEY!
We know it's important to participate in other extracurricular activities and understand that it is important to be well-rounded, but we do expect that DANCE REHEARSAL & COMPETITIONS takes priority when there are conflicts with other optional extracurricular activities. 

We expect CLEAR and CONSISTENT communication for absences IN ADVANCE if you will miss class due to sports/activities  or illness. 
In the space below - list any activities, sports, obligations that this dancer is involved with during the 2023-2023 Season. If possible list DAYS of the WEEK and TIMES that they CANNOT be in class. (These conflicts MAY affect your dancers placement in routines - based on the studio schedule. So please be specific as we can consider all options. Thank you!)
From time to time - we may need to hold additional REQUIRED Showstarz Rehearsals on Weekends.   Weekends may be used to prepare the full team for Large Group performances, Fall Festival, Competitions, or Recital. Please note any weekend conflicts that you know this dancer will have during the season.

I understand that placement on this team is a privilege. I understand the financial and time commitment, and personal expectations of being a member of this team. I understand that not meeting those expectations- including unexcused and/or excessive absences (due to sports or conflicts), negative interactions with instructors and/or teammates, or excessive memory mistakes - are ground for probation or removal from routines or the team. *
