An important component of the Undergraduate Digital Studies Certificate involves participation in at least 3 career-focused activities. The purpose of this career-focused requirement is to enable students to maximize the professional benefits of the Digital Studies Certificate and their education at CU Denver overall. Many of these can be completed through the
CU Denver Career Center. Examples that fulfill this requirement include:
- One-on-one appointments with a Career Counselor to discuss majors and career paths, assess your interests and abilities, develop professional networking, and conduct mock interviews
- Workshops on using Handshake, applying for jobs, and writing resumés and cover letters
- Job and internship fairs
- Networking meeting with someone working in your desired career path
- Other - contact the Director of Digital Initiatives to receive approval for other ideas
Record the date you completed each activity along with a short, 2-3 sentence description of the activity below. Note: students can complete a mix of different activities (ex. a workshop, job fair, and one-on-one appointment) or repeat the same type of activity multiple times (ex. 3 one-on-one appointments).
