Midwest Junto 2023 Abstract Submission
The 64th annual meeting of the Midwest Junto for the History of Science will be held 10-12 March, 2023 at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.

For more than six decades, the Midwest Junto has fostered an informal, congenial environment where students, faculty, independent scholars, and other research professionals can gather to discuss their research. We welcome submissions for fifteen-minute presentations on any aspect of the history of science, technology, or medicine, as well as related STS fields. Graduate students from Midwestern history of science and STS programs are particularly welcome to participate. By Junto tradition, lodging for graduate student presenters will be partially subsidized.

A short abstract of between 250 and 300 words of your proposed paper should be submitted electronically on this form, by 11:59pm (US Central time), Tuesday, the 31st of January. You will need to submit your abstract with title, your name, institutional affiliation, faculty or graduate student status, email, and phone number.

Depending on the number of proposals that request zoom, we may have 1 or 2 fully online sessions. We will prioritize those in the Midwest and/or associated with a Midwest institution. People may be able to join remotely, but most of the conference will be in person. We have not yet articulated our masking policy, but we know masks will be strongly encouraged.
