Traditionally, many museum organizations have chosen not to disclose salary information, fearing it may deter potential candidates, hinder negotiations, or cause internal conflicts. Nonetheless, research by Human Resource professionals and organizations suggests that including salary on job postings actually saves time for both employers and candidates and leads to better fits for the organizational culture.

The National Emerging Museum Professionals Network is championing this cause, calling on museums to embrace salary transparency to foster a more equitable workforce. If you come across job postings without salary information during your job search, we encourage you to fill out the form below. We will contact the respective museums and initiate discussions on the importance of salary transparency in the hiring process.
