Become a Breastfeeding Support Volunteer

Would you like to offer personalized support and information to breastfeeding parents in your community?

Now is your chance to become part of the Nourri-Source network comprised of 700+ volunteers from all over Quebec!  Our volunteers are the heart of our organization and are commited to supporting parents in their breastfeeding journey, while always respecting their choices and their own pace.

Minimum requirements to become a Breastfeeding Support Volunteer are:
- having personal breastfeeding experience;
- being ready to be actively involved for at least 1 year;
- attending an introductory training on breastfeeding and counseling techniques.

Do you have a minimum of FOUR (4) months breastfeeding experience? (NOTE:  A minimum of 6 months experience is actually required, but the process to become a volunteer can begin as early as 4 months) *
Are you prepared to be actively involved for at least one (1) year? *
An online 12-hour introductory training will take place on November 10-11-17-18 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  All FOUR (4) evenings are required to complete the training.  Will you be available to complete all 4 sessions? *
Regular volunteer meetings are held approx 6-7 times a year to help stay up-to-date with various breastfeeding-related topics (they take place online, but may eventually return to in-person).  You understand and agree that your attendance at these volunteer meetings and continuous trainings are required in order to remain an active volunteer? *
