Urban Heat and Pollution Monitoring
We are a research team at UNT conducting urban heat and air quality studies using new technology in Denton and need your help!

We want to place air quality and temperature sensors outside of homes in Denton to detect harmful pollutants (particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns - PM2.5) and heat. The sensors that will be used in this study represent an emerging paradigm in urban heat island and urban pollution island monitoring which allows local-citizens of communities to understand their own exposure to harmful pollutants and temperature that government regulatory sensors miles away can't detect.

If you are interested in keeping a sensor outside of your home, please fill out the survey.

All personal information will be kept private. For more information regarding the study, please check the link: https://sites.google.com/site/liang3mlab/project-updates/geospatial-air-quality-research/citizen-science-air-quality
