As we build our relationship with RWCT, we expect there will be many engagement points for SV2 Partners, from direct volunteering in the community, to participating on RWCT working groups, to attending SV2 events where RWCT and their partner agencies share their work.

During our Collaboration Brainstorm with RWCT, staff mentioned they would be delighted to welcome SV2 Partners to participate in the following opportunities:

Redwood City Together community events like Welcoming Week and the Orgullo y Educación (OYE) Latinx Youth Conference
Community outreach in partnership with local Promotores
RWCT Working Groups and Initiatives (listed below as examples):
Welcoming Redwood City: builds empathy, understanding, and supportive action to bridge social divides such as race, class, and immigration status.
Early Childhood Working Group: sparks innovation in a time of much uncertainty, provides child care resources for families, and learning opportunities, professional development and funding opportunities for child care and out of school providers.
Data Council Working Group: ensures that Redwood City Together is using data strategically and across organizations to support the success of children, youth and families by enabling collaborative-wide shared measurement practices.
Fundraising and Finance Working Group: supports Redwood City Together’s efforts to ensure fiscal health through philanthropy, fund development, membership, events and sponsorships.

As we build trust and relationship with RWCT, we expect there will be many opportunities for SV2 Partners to engage – the ideas above are just a start! Please let us know of your interest in any type of engagement in the form below.
