Storyline: Delta Golden’s life has been just that … golden. As an only child raised in an affluent neighborhood, Delta’s doting parents gave her everything wealth could offer. At 28 Delta thought she was well on her way to building her own empire as a social media influencer for a high-end boutique. Completely self-absorbed and having never been held accountable for anything, Delta developed an uncanny knack for being consistently late and just plain irresponsible. But on her 29th birthday, everything changes. Delta finds herself out of a job, out of her apartment, out of a car (those pesky parking tickets), and just downright out of luck. Then, her parents decide it's time to show Delta some tough love and cut her off so now she is also out of money. With all of her followers gone, and her “friends” nowhere to be found, Delta is desperate and takes a job at a homeless shelter just to have a roof over her head. She has all the wrong motives, but the more time she spends with her boss Ryan, and the residents of the shelter, the more her “job” becomes something she looks forward to, something she is actually committed to for once. She has found a purpose and for the first time in her life it’s not all about her. She is heartbroken when she overhears that the shelter is running out of money and in danger of closing. She makes it her mission to raise the funds needed, and in doing so she finally understands what it truly means to have “influence.”
