Inspired by the Linton Kwesi Johnson poem of the same name, the
Inglan' is a B!tch series of workshops will be a dive into Black musical history in Britain; using the activist roots of Afro-Caribbean artists who came before us to create relevant, rhythmic lyrics and poems that reflect on the Windrush Generation's contributions to Black life in the UK.
These workshops, for 16-21-year-olds, will culminate with a live poetry jam on Windrush Day (22nd June) at the Maritime Museum. Expect a soundtrack that of soca, calypso, dub, reggae, house, jungle, grime, drill and more...
