Green Youth Leadership Program Application
Hello there!

Welcome to the application form for the Green Youth Leadership Program. This program is intended for Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) youth between the ages of 15-20. Through this program you will receive mentorship and support in leading an environmental project at your faith community. This application process is supposed to be very short and accessible.

Why would you like to participate in the Green Youth Leadership Program? (150 words max) 

You might want to participate for environmental reasons, you may have a personal story, or just be interested in general. I want to learn a bit about what draws you into this kind of work.

What sort of project/s would you want to complete over the 6 month period for your faith community? (40 words max)

Some ideas include a planting project, workshops, and clean-ups. The purpose of this question is so I can have a better understanding of possible things you might want to work on. You are not committing to any project you mention here.

Are you able to commit to all 6 months of the program from October 2022 to March 2023? 

The commitment is for 5.5 hours of meetings throughout each month. This includes monthly 1.5 hour group learning meetings, 2 hour biweekly meetings to plan and work on your projects, and an in-person celebration at the end. I expect the monthly group meetings to be online and that some of the one on one meetings will be in-person, if possible.

Are there any accessibility needs you would like to share?

Are there some personal circumstances that may pose barriers to participating in this program? For example, it might be really difficult for you to access in-person meetings or you might not have access to a computer for online meetings. If you feel comfortable, feel free to express that here.
