MCS Peer Mentorship Program Mentor Application
Remember how nerve-wracking it was when you first entered the dance scene? You probably didn't know a lot of people, everyone seemed so much better than you, and you may have been hesitant to ask people to dance.

The MCS Peer Mentorship Program aims to help newer dancers navigate and integrate into both MCS and the wider dance community. The program is a sort of “Big Brother, Big Sister” program and will last for three months. If selected, you will be paired with a less experienced mentee dancer.

Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions. They will help us understand if you are a good fit for the program and, if so, help us to pair you with other participants. Your responses will also be used to form a bio of you for our potential mentees to review in selecting who they want to pair with (specifically: your name, why you like WCS, and why you want to be a mentor).

As a reminder, if you are selected to participate, you are expected to commit to at least:
     - the Peer Mentorship Program orientation session tentatively scheduled for Sunday, March 1st, at 11:00am.
     - at least one weekly communication with your mentee (in-person, phone call, or text)
     - at least one in-person get-together outside of dance per month
     - check-ins at MCS and dance events to make sure your mentees are having fun and address any questions or concerns they might have
     - introduce your mentee to other dancers so they feel more comfortable
     - help create a warm and welcoming environment at MCS for everyone!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Julia at info@missioncityswing.com.
