The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program* (*beginning March 1st, 2024) is a series of free income tax clinics offered by United Way Centraide North East Ontario, in partnership with Canada Revenue Agency, since 1997. It is offered to residents across six districts, including Greater Sudbury, Manitoulin, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Cochrane, and Timiskaming.
Tax clinics are offered both by phone and in person. Registration for clients seeking phone appointments opens on February 1, 2024, just before the filing period. You may register by calling us at 705-560-3330 extension 210 and leaving a voicemail with your contact info for a volunteer to register you, or you may simply complete the form below. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Clients will begin receiving calls no earlier than March 1, 2024. Wait times can typically be 2 to 3 weeks during the peak season.
In-person clinics are also offered across the Greater Sudbury community. We do not take pre-registrants - these are first-come first-served events, and a full schedule of dates and locations can be found on United Way's website. In-person clinics take place solely between March 1 - April 30, 2024.
If you miss the tax season window, phone appointments are still offered year-round at the availability of our volunteers. Please register below, and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
