The Land Access Reconciliation & Reparations Working Group (Land Access R&R) is a collaborative group of individuals and community based organizations working together to ask and answer questions on topics of land, sovereignty, access, and address the inequalities of these issues that exist in the complex intersections of race and class privilege, amongst many others.
We recognize that this work is not simple, that the path in reconciliation and reparations is not clear. We recognize that the process and work involves untangling threads of colonization and slavery.
We understand and believe as a working group, together with our community, that trust amongst each other and healing trauma is at the core of this work. We strive to maintain a space that is culturally relevant and safe for all in order to have the conversations necessary for this work to continuously move forward.
We are committed to our personal growth and education as a part of this work.
