Glasgow Zine Library Accessions and Permissions Form

This form allows us to gather important information about your zines and how you want us to catalogue and allow access to them. We are always balancing our goal of making the zines we hold accessible to all, with the rights of creators, and respect for the potentially private nature of zines.

You can read more about what zines we collect via our Collections Policy https://glasgowzinelibrary.com/our-collection

If you are filling in this form because you are donating a zine to our collection, please note you can send your zine to:

Please give details of any information about the zine you do not want in the online catalogue:
What’s your zine about?

Please detail some key themes/ideas/topics explored in your zine/s to help us catalogue it appropriately:

*
Please select ONE category which you think fits your zine best, this will likely be the category your zine goes in at the physical GZL space (please note that these categories are currently under review but we’ll use what you select to inform where your zine goes):
*
Tagging for BIPOC+ Creators
Any BIPOC+ zine makers who would like to have their work tagged according to their identity within GZL's collection can write it here - this is valuable to zine readers who are looking for work from non-white makers, regardless of subject matter.
Digitisation *

GZL intends to scan some zines in our collection and make them available digitally via an online catalogue. This will only be done with the express permission of the creator so please select the appropriate option that you feel comfortable with.

If you are uncertain about the entirety of your zine being digitised, we would encourage you to choose option 2 as allowing us to add the cover page of your zine to the catalogue really enhances the user experience, however this is ultimately your decision!

We are using a Creative Commons licence option to ensure clarity about how your zine can be used, and to ensure there are appropriate restrictions on that use.

Any further information:
If you chose option 3 for the above question and have bespoke restrictions about digitisation, please note those restrictions here. You can also use this field if you would like us to note anything else about the zine not covered in the rest of the form.
