2013 至 2019 年間，我以攝影者的身份多次造訪拉達克，以 NH 1、3公路(National Highway 1, 3)、 Pangon lake road 西段沿線為主幹，沿著貫穿喜馬拉雅山區印度河帶狀綠洲，在自然所形成的邊界與時至今日各個政治實體所主張的界線之間，漂流穿梭。落腳於那些隨處可見，充滿煤油、奶腥味的小餐館。
集結而成這次的作品，書寫該地區由歷代各方勢力、地緣政治、流行文化、宗教願力、自然風化所形塑的地 景、空間，鑲嵌拼貼的樣貌。亙古不變與恆常變幻的雙線故事，在時間之輪滾動而成的邊界之間交互穿行，映照著當地人順應(或抵抗)外境變動之下，懸而未決的生活寫實。
Between the years 2013 and 2019, I visited Ladakh many times as a photographer. Traveling along the NH1, and NH3 highways and the western part of Pangong lake road as my primary route, along the Himalayan mountains and Indus oasis, traveling between both natural and artificial boundaries. I shared the dhaba and home of common folks, filled with the smell of butter, farming animals and petroleum.
This body of work paints a picture of their story, a rich mixture of history, geopolitics, pop culture, and spirituality. One that never stops changing, whether one chooses to play along or not, the wheel of time rolls on.
