The Body Project Interest Form

Note: NEDA is not hosting facilitator training sessions at this time. By completing this form, you will be notified about future facilitator training opportunities.

The Body Project is a group-based intervention that provides a forum for high school girls and college-aged women to confront unrealistic appearance ideals and develop healthy body image and self-esteem. It has repeatedly been shown to effectively reduce body dissatisfaction, negative mood, unhealthy dieting, and disordered eating.

Eligibility Requirements:

Volunteers interested in training to become Body Project Facilitators must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be located within the United States
  • Identify as a woman
  • Be in strong recovery from an eating disorder (if applicable)

Program Requirements:

Body Project Facilitators must:

  • Attend and participate in one 8-hour virtual Body Project Facilitator training to deliver the program.
  • Schedule and deliver at least one complete Body Project program (four 1-hour or six 45-minute sessions) to a group of high school or college-aged girls/women within six months of completing the Body Project Facilitator training.

Not sure if you meet the requirements or if the Body Project is the right opportunity for you? Please email NEDA's Senior Program Manager, Gabe Gavito (ggavito@nationaleatingdisorders.org), to learn more about how you can get involved!
