I support public interest technology apprenticeships in NYC

Would you hire a public interest technologist/analyst trained by BetaNYC & CUNY?

If yes, we need your support! New York City has launched an apprenticeship initiative to upskill 30,000 people by 2030. IF we can identify employers in the New York City region who collectively hire more than 50 people per year, BetaNYC, along with its CUNY partners, is in a unique position to build a city-funded public-interest technology apprenticeship program. Early in April, we wrote about our work with CUNY’s public interest technology lab. Now, we urgently need to find employers who will join us for workshops and interviews through the planning grant period.

If you answer yes to the following two questions, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

  • Are you an employer in the New York City region?
  • Are you willing to participate in a planning process to develop a public interest technology apprenticeship program?

IF you hire any of the following positions, please fill out this contact form, and we will follow up with a letter of support template to fill out. We have an internal deadline of May 17th for letters of support. (The City has extended its initial deadline.)
