Dear Young Athlete and Family:
From November 4th-6th, Special Olympics Pennsylvania will be hosting its Fall Festival, taking place at the Villanova University (
800 Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA 19085). Athletes will complete in bocce, flag football, long distance running/walking, powerlifting, roller skating, soccer and volleyball.
In addition to providing year round sports opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics Pennsylvania also offers a program called Young Athletes. Young Athletes is an inclusive program for children ages 2-7 both with and without intellectual disabilities designed to strengthen motor and social skills at an early age. On Sunday, November 6th, there will be a Young Athletes Festival taking place at Villanova from 9:30-11:30 AM. Registration begins at 9:00 AM and more information on parking instructions and the venue will be available no later than one week before the event.
This Festival will feature the opportunity to participate in various sports related activities, as well as arts and crafts and will conclude with a children's story on inclusion and an awards ceremony. Please note that lunch will NOT be included. Plaease also note that only bottled water may be consumed in the venue of this Festival, which will be provided.
Throughout the event, parents/guardians are required to stay with their child(ren) at all times.
If you have any other friends and family between the age of 2-7, please share this with them and their parents/guardians too!
