In the aggregate producers’ market, investors and consumers increasingly demand companies improve their operations as measured by Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards. Purposeful ESG and sustainability programs demonstrate to stakeholders and the public a company’s commitment to operate responsibly in everything they do. These ESG programs work to capture existing sustainability practices that are used by the industry and establish new programs to build a comprehensive strategy. A tailored ESG program can mitigate business risks, leverage opportunities, and drive long-term business value. Understanding how an ESG program can benefit these demands will be important to aggregate producers. During this presentation, we will review current ESG program components, strategies, assessment, and issues of concern. We will also touch on the connection of ESG programs and environmental product designations that the industry is beginning to see required for their products.
