Honestly, we're all struggling right now so Reinvented is teaming up with some awesome women and nonbinary individuals in STEM (aka YOU!) to write cards to students who need a little extra encouragement this month. Students can request to receive a free Galentine's Day card with some stickers written by one of our awesome professional or collegiate women or nonbinary individuals in STEM volunteers!
Galentine's Day cards will be mailed to students during the month of February 100% free to charge. We are expecting a LOT of students to request free cards, which means we need a lot of volunteers! Volunteers will be mailed Galentine's themed post cards, stickers, envelopes, and stamps. You'll each be be given no more than 10 students (unless you think you have time to write more) to write cards for! Cards should include lots of words of encouragement, maybe some jokes or puns, and anything else you think would make a struggling girl in STEM smile this month.
We are currently planning on mailing all of our volunteers the card writing supplies at the end of January or first few days in February so we can try to get cards out in time for Galentine's Day. But, USPS has been experiencing a lot of delays so, full disclosure, we are really aiming to get students their cards by the end of February!
While the cards are 100% free to anyone who needs one, you can help us fund them by 'sponsoring a card' on our website here:
