Hi friends! I've been travelling in India for over 20 years now and have also taken friends informally on tours, hikes and bike rides for fun. From an up and coming travel blogger to a big move to the US in 2015 and in 2022 to Canada changed the direction of life, but I continue to travel and grow my network in India.
I would love to show people the 'real' India with a focus on:
- Sustainability (overall perspective): choosing the more mindful/eco-friendly choices and alternatives
- Low impact (food, environment): delicious vegan/plant-based cuisine
- Local (artists, business): hosted by local artists and focusing on unique and one-of-a-kind
- Experiential (moving away from the usual) - tailored to your needs, whether it's wellness, adventure or active
If India has been in your sights recently, or you've ALWAYS wanted to discover the country, but under the guidance of (and WITH) someone who is from there, this might be an opportunity - please read on!
Not surprisingly, India also offers a very rich plant-based culinary heritage. Of late, there has been the trend of adding 'ghee' to dishes and using dairy extensively, but I have been pleasantly surprised to see the wide variety of culinary delights and can't wait to share them with you. As a traveller, it's also generally safer to opt for vegetables rather than animals (due to sanitation/health/environmental issues + not knowing where the meat comes from). So even if you're not vegan or plant-based, eating more vegetarian foods when in India might also be safer. You will also be given opportunities to sample other foods if you choose to do so.
